Status update

For the last couple of days I've been enjoying some kind of food poisoning, because of which I now am just laying low (although both yesterday and today I did things that would have been better just to skip; yesterday we visited the Pak Ou caves with a speedboat along Mekong-river. Today Silja and I just wondered around in a nearby village. The people were so happy-looking. I was just smiling at everybody and saying hello in Lao. Lot of chickens and turkeys running free and making their sounds. Now that's organic meat if anything!

Today we will transfer ourselver further south with a minibus (5-8 hours trip depending on if the minibus doesn't brake or anything else nice) to a place called Vang Vieng. There we shall tube down the river, maybe stop by a bar and have a good time. Maybe rent a motorbike or go to see some more caves. Dunno. Nothing really planned. First we need to find ourselves a place to sleep when we arrive there.
